meet the advisor

My name is Kayla Belt, and I am the new College & Career Advisor at La Plata High School through a program called rootEd Alliance. I am excited to be in this new role with La Plata School District. I have been employed with the district for many years and have served in many different roles. 

I will be helping students plan for life success after graduation, whether attending college or trade school, going into the workforce, or enlisting in the military. This can be stressful, and I am here to provide assistance and support.

I will work closely with our School Counselor, Mrs. Lock, to help our students with their post-secondary plans. I am excited to serve the students and families at La Plata High School.
