Important Announcements for Week of 4/13:

• Congrats to the HS Scholar Bowl team on winning 2nd in Conference and the JH Scholar Bowl team for winning 4th in Conference! Great job teams!

• See the amazing students and their achievements for the honor roll on this newsletter or on FB! Congratulations to all students on the A and B Honor Roll for grades 9-12! Honor Roll designations are awarded to a “B” average or above. The “A” Honor Roll includes those students who have an “A” average (4.0) in all subjects currently taken. The “B” Honor Roll includes those students who have “B” average (3.0-3.99) in all subjects currently taken.

• Science club is still hosting a plant sale. See flyer or Mrs. Grimes for questions.

• Congratulations to Kendrick and Tate on receiving their State FFA Degree!

• The PTO will be hosting a TAT the Teacher fundraiser. Tattoo sales will begin next week. More information to come later.

• We will host a Monday School on 4/20 from 8am-11am. Please sign up in the office. Monday school is for students that would like extra tutoring, make up seat time, or have failing grades at midterm.

• Midterm is on Wednesday. Grades are due on Friday!

• MAP and EOC tests are coming up! See the schedule below or on FB!

  • MAP and EOC testing is coming up! Score a Proficient or higher on at least 1 MAP or EOC test and earn a trip to Scotty's Fun Spot next fall.

  • Score a proficient or higher on 2 or more MAP/EOC tests and receive a Coupon Book and Trip to Scotty's fun spot. Coupons include concession stand items, tardy passes, and free admissions to dances.

  • Score Advanced on any MAP or EOC and get coupons and the trip to Scotty's Fun Spot.

  • Score a Proficient or Advanced on ALL of your MAP/EOC tests and be entered into a drawing for a GIFT CARD!

• Free Sports Physicals on May 19th from 1 pm - 4pm for La Plata Athletes!

  Any students entering the 6th grade in the 2026 school year that has any interest in sports will need one.

  Students that have a physical expiring will be sent home with one and extras will be available in the office!

• Results from The Tri-County Conference Art Show today at Novinger. Our kids did great!
