Come out and support our Seniors tomorrow night between the Softball and Baseball games against Atlanta. Softball will start at 5 pm with baseball to follow. Senior recognition will be in between games to celebrate all Girls Golf, Cross Country, Baseball and Softball participants.

Juniors and seniors at LHS had the opportunity to hear from a representative with Capital Academy in Jefferson City, Missouri on Tuesday, October 6. The academy is a six-week program that provides hands-on training, industry certifications, and experience in construction and civil engineering. Students learned about the program and the opportunities it offers.
Tomorrow is our Walk (or bike) to School Day! Students can be dropped off at the park between 7:25am and 7:30am to walk to school together.

We believe that taking care of our students means taking care of the whole child. That’s why we are proud to partner with Northeast Missouri Health Council to bring mobile dental services directly to our school! Contact Nurse Carol with questions and be on the lookout for information being sent home.
Last year, the mobile dental program served 20 La Plata students through 40 appointments, providing: 36 dental exams, 141 X-rays, 33 cleanings, 34 fluoride treatments, 35 sealants, 22 fillings, 33 completed treatment plans

JH and HS students attending Scottie's Fun Spot trip on Friday, 10/2, will enjoy a FREE 2 hour fun pass and pizza buffet. Bring money if you would like to purchase an arcade card (not included in the fun pass). We will leave at 8am and return by 3:15pm. Students must be on time to school to go on the field trip.
Students not attending the trip will enjoy a selection of STEM activities, lunch, and gym time grouped by grade level.

This group of La Plata seniors kicked off this year’s college visit tour with a visit to Moberly Area Community College (MACC) in Moberly! Students had the opportunity to see the campus, learn more about college programs and opportunities, and even ran into La Plata alum Izzy Joyce.

Mr. Pippin and Mrs. Gulso took this wonderful group of students to the Maples Repertory Theatre to see a play adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank. They also enjoyed an educational exhibit called Anne Frank - A History for Today. Thank you to all that made this possible.
The La Plata Softball Tournament will be this Saturday, 10/3. The Lady Bulldogs will play their first game at 8 am! Come out and support!
Concessions will include biscuits/gravy along with donuts in the morning! Walking tacos will be added in the afternoon!
Softball is canceled for tonight, 9/28, at Marion County due to weather and field conditions.
The baseball game tonight (9/28) vs BMC at home has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
