High School Daily Bulletin

Important Announcements:

• The FCCLA Mock Car Crash will be on Thursday from 8am-12:00pm.  Students will be involved in a car crash simulation and emergency services will be present.  Community members should be aware that this is a MOCK simulation and not an actual emergency.  Call the office if you wish for your child to do alternate activities.

• Our Veteran's Day celebration will be on November 7th at 1:30 in the HS gym.  Lunch is served at 11:30 for Veteran's and their guest.  See flyer attached!

• HS Boys basketball will have a meeting on Tuesday at 11am in the library for those that are interested.  See Coach Fields if you have questions.

• If you are interested in HS Cheer, please sign up in the OFFICE ASAP.  Contact Mrs. Gulso or Mrs. Hall if you have questions!  First practice will be the first week in November.

• Congrats to JH Boys and Girls basketball for winning 3rd place at the Bucklin Tournament!

• Thank you to our JH Cheer squad for all of the spirit throughout the week at the Bucklin Tournament!

• The Marching Band represented La Plata very well while marching  last weekend at the Truman Homecoming Parade.  Great job!

• College visits- 1 spot is still open for the college visit to Indian Hills Community College on Thursday, Oct. 30th.

• Next week is Red Ribbon Week!  Here are the spirit days-all attire must be school appropriate and the dress code.  Hats can be worn but if requested to remove from teacher, students must follow direction:
• Tuesday--students dress like teachers, teacher dress like students!
• Wednesday:  Bring anything but a backpack!
• Thursday:  Hat and PJ day
• Friday:  Halloween Costume Day (no mask, limited facepaint allowed, no weapons or fake weapons).

• FCCLA will be hosting a STAR Event-Trick or Treat for Canned Goods.  Community members can leave canned goods on their porches on 10/27 and members will be around to collect!
